This month, April 2015, marks the 25th anniversary of Dayglo Fishermen.
During Easter 1990 four young men met at Artlite Studios in Hexham, Northumberland. Their aim
was nothing more than to record a single song. That song, as most of the band's fans will know, was
'Fish'. Just a few hours in the making, its energy, originality and often bizarre qualities lit a flame of
creativity inside the minds of those involved, and ignited a desire to make music the likes of which
had never been heard before.
To learn more about the development of that first song read the article 'The Origin of Fish' on the
band's production blog.

Nowadays Dayglo Fishermen take a more leisurely and geographically distributed approach to
composing and recording, but that fire of creativity is still raging as strong as it did in those early
days, which bodes well for the band's 19th studio album scheduled for release later this year.
